The Chocolate Messenger is a Toronto chocolate stop if you’re looking for some of the finest tasting chocolates around. The chef and owner, Alon prides himself in using only the freshest ingredients, and each piece is hand crafted using traditional Swiss methods. This shop used to be great and I have been a loyal customer for years. It seems that the new owners have changed the chocolate recipe. From my understanding they used to make their own chocolate but now they melt down and reshape lindt chocolate to resell it. Also some products seem to be outsourced and not lindt as they taste different and cheaper. I would advise them to be more transparent about this.
Very disappointed. Placed my order three weeks before Easter. Order arrived after the Easter weekend, smashed to pieces. All cushioning was placed on top of the egg, leaving the egg unprotected on the bottom of the box. Probably a wonderful place to visit in person, but don’t have your order shipped. They did not respond to my email.
I been to the chocolate messenger so many times to have their crepes. I always order Nutella with no fruit. It was so good. But then I stopped going there for way too long because I go to the another crepe place closer to my place called Sava crepe. It’s so good but sava always not open on Mondays. The owners are wonderful people, and the chocolate is amazing. My friend has diabetes, and I’m able to bring her joy with gifts of chocolate that she can enjoy, which is truly significant for her.
Amazing customer service! Incredible dark chocolate crepe (true dark chocolate). All is Swiss chocolate, and the truffles look great too. Definitely coming back!
