Update 12/2017: I'm not an organized person. Called Erica at the last moment, and she was able to assemble and ship a box of several different collections. Twice, actually, since I didn't count correctly the first time. Was greeted with happy clients as they opened the gifts. The Chocolate Season is quick, easy and friendly to deal with and mixes some mean confections. Just can't recommend enough! Hosted a business meeting and presentation on their second level and couldn't be more pleased! For our informal gathering, it was perfect. Separating the leftover brownie bites to bring home after the event could have easily turned into a fight to the death ... they are that good. Erica was a dream...
After seeing a piece on my local tv, I sent a note asking about recommendations for Valentine’s Day. Erika, the owner, responded right away and helped me find the perfect gifts! The best part is that once they arrived, they tasted even better than they looked! If there’s such a thing as a flavorful chocolate, this is it! The sea salt caramels are wonderful! It’s the richest tasting caramel I’ve ever had and after that flavor you get hit with a rich chocolate, and the the savory sea salt! Best I’ve ever had. And that includes a KC local guy......these are MUCH better!
OK, this is an amazing place to be, warm and friendly. Superb food, really good food, in just the right amounts of servings. Chocolate, by the way, that will blow your socks off!....If you are in the area, please stop in. You will not be let down. Oh, and by the way, prices are affordable! Yup, not going to disappointed!
Algona Iowa just keeps getting better and better. Just happened to notice all of the people strolling in for lunch. Most definitely had to try it out. Was not disappointed at all. Ordered the Chicky and a half cup of tomato soup. Limited seating outdoors. The food was very good. Dessert even better! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
What a delightful café in this charming little town! I might have just tasted the best waffles ever! The atmosphere here is fantastic! It’s an excellent spot for coffee, waffles, lunch, and desserts, especially the natural chocolate!
We stopped in with our 3 girls on Monday morning and were treated to exceptional service, delicious chocolate treats and an iced vanilla bean latte I am STILL thinking about 5 days later. We will be back!
Love the coffee and espresso! Lunch is always great too. Many different options available that you don’t see unless you are in a big city. Algona is lucky to have The Chocolate Season!
