We used to be regular customers since the 1980s, but haven't been as much since the restaurant was sold to the Provendence Group. We went for lunch on a Sunday and found a nice room overlooking a new terrace. The lunch menu had a good selection and was reasonably priced. We placed our order with what appeared to be the manager or supervisor, though neither was in uniform - unless jeans and wrinkled t-shirts are the new uniform. The service lacked some standards that one would expect from a restaurant, as the waiter carried my wife's glass by hand instead of using a tray. After noticing this restaurant for several years, we finally had the opportunity to visit. We were not disappointed when we walked into the dining room and were warmly greeted by a friendly staff member who seated us at a table with a linen tablecloth. The decor created a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Once we were seated, we ordered drinks and perused the menu, which offered a variety of options for everyone. I chose the burger and requested onions, and was pleasantly surprised when onion rings were prepared especially for me. Booked this restaurant for our last night staying in Yorkshire. We ordered starters of cheese soufflé and Korean fried chicken followed by fish pie and rump steak and finished of with rhubarb and almond tart and the pana cotta. Just a few issues. The soufflé hardly tasted of cheese and the caramelised peaches on the panna cotta were just tinned ones without being caramelised. The main issue was the rhubarb and almond tart. There was no rhubarb in the tart just a rhubarb gel on the side and most of the tart was rock hard and inedible. I treated myself to a birthday Sunday lunch at this restaurant. The food was excellent, though it did take a little while to come out. However, I wasn't in a rush so it was no problem. I want to give a special shoutout to Lauren for taking care of us.

We stayed 2 nights and had diiner off the Ala Carte menu on Saturday night, some lovely specials the scallops were amazing. We had sunday Lunch the following day, Sirlion of beef melted in the mouth!
They have really nice grounds, and multiple spaces that can be used for dining or banquets. the staff was very friendly. The food was prepared quickly and was very tasty.
