My partner and I decided to go out for Sunday lunch since we don't get to spend weekends together often due to work commitments. We have dined at The Clock for evening meals before and it has always been great. However, our experience today was disappointing. The service was exceptionally slow and there were items missing from our meals. As former pub workers, we understand that Sunday lunch can be a busy time, but both of our roasts were served without horseradish sauce. my family ate at the clock warehouse Saturday we rang prior to booking, we checked on arrival and discussed with waitress the importance of my 5 year old grandson being coeliac within 20 mins of eating chips he was violently sick and continued to be so until Monday morning meaning he is off school and my daughter not able to go to work. The manger listened to my concerns about the cross contamination of oil in his allergy frier and agreed that this could have happened I appreciate his honesty but I have great concerns that the full impact of this error could have dire circumstances. The food and service at this restaurant are fantastic. It is our go-to spot and we dine here often. The food is consistently outstanding and the staff is always willing to go above and beyond.
