The staff need training on how to meet greet their diners. Took ages to get food. The camanbert cheese was fantastic. The mackerel salmon moouse was lovely but very petite in size. The Chicken rib combo was very poor. The chicken was tasteless. Lacked in basic seasoning and the outside was wet and not crispy. Poor quality in that dish. Took ages to get a repeat drink service. It was not busy so they cannot use that as an excuse. I would not recommend unfortunately. Back in the this was a fantastic pub/restaurant. Disappointed
We were really excited about this Sunday lunch. Food was ok. Roast mediocre, vegan option tasty but the sides were pretty bland. Service was the absolute minimum, order taken, food served. No checking if meal ok, asking if more drinks required or even offering dessert menu. After 15 mins of looking at empty plates and the table next to us being cleared despite being served after and with no acknowledgement we thought it was time to leave. Sadly won't return and wouldn't recommend.
The food is consistently good. The menu is good with Chef specials most days. We always order the same dishes for mains and deserts. We leave feeling well fed and content. Prices are good and worth booking in advance as busy at weekend. I Would definitely recommend the Dirty burger, its a feast!
Lovely pub, with excellent food and beer. We were a group of walkers who'd parked in the car park for a morning walk. They did ask for our lunch time order before our walk, which worked out very well. Super village pub, well recommended Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
the best fish and chips anywhere in essex or suffolk, the service is fast and very polite, the whole setup is just so inviting, we go with my cousin who lives just around the corner and we look foward to our trips, just love the place
I'm so lucky to have this as my local. Imagine being able to walk 5 minutes to a pub with a lovely friendly atmosphere and a great menu. When my family visit they always prefer their cooking to mine.
Pretty pub in a nice village. Real ales available. Had a lovely seafood starter lunch at the front of the pub opposite the church. Hit the spot. Looking forward to coming back.
Great village pub. Free House, good real ales. Well-run, very friendly. Good food and garden too. A lovely warm fire in the winter, and plenty of seats outside for the summer. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
