We had a reservation (which I highly recommend) we arrived a few minutes early and ordered a drink at the bar while we waited on our table. We had the pimento cheese as our appetizer, I ordered the shrimp and grits and my husband had the salmon and gumbo special. Everything was delicious! The restaurant is rustic casual and the tables are close together. We had a great conversation with the table next to us! Fun evening, atmosphere and great food!
always a winner! craft bier selection is small but excellent. Usually we have whatever the fish is because it is always fresh and well prepared. this time we stick to the regular menu offers. the lamb was excellent, fork tender and rich. we also have the bacon caramel popcorn, which is like a decadent adult cracker jack. it is an appetizer and lip-smacking. we have saved a bit for dessert, what it can be. so sweet!

They offer a selection of at least 2-3 milk alternatives and a variety of hot and cold coffee drinks. They also have a couple of snack or sandwich options that are vegan or can be made vegan upon request, although I have yet to try them myself.

This restaurant is a huge hidden gem located near the university. We stopped here for a late lunch before the game and were impressed by the relaxed atmosphere. I was thrilled to see that they offered Udis gluten-free bread for the burger. The homemade fries were not greasy and delicious. It's the perfect spot for a pleasant afternoon. We will definitely be returning!
Love the food at The Hound. This visit was particularly crowded as the tables were packed VERY closely together and it was difficult to have a good conversation which is why I like to eat out with family and friends.
I can't put into words how amazing my meal was. The food was excellent. I will definitely return. The ambiance was fantastic, perfect for a romantic date. The staff were polite and attentive. Highly recommended.

As always, this is a go-to spot. I enjoy the food and the drinks, but the tables can be a little close together making conversation guarded .
