Passing through town and desperately needed coffee so we thought we would check out a local place. We ordered a energy drink and an iced coffee. When ordering they asked if we were Teller County residents, thought maybe they got a discount or something. We literally waited 30 MINUTES!! Go ahead and check my order time and time I was refunded. Longer if you include me being 4th in line. ....Not even for 2 drinks for one! Becasue they made me an iced vanilla latte and when I asked where my iced coffee is they said that is it. I said No I ordered an iced vanilla coffee to which the barista replied that is an iced coffee! Maybe she is new so let me explain and iced coffee is exactly that coffee...
I do love this place but only one of the staff so far have cared enough to make the drinks right. I have to wait for her to work to get the lotus drink made. She takes her time and does it right it and tastes amazing and she even puts little sparkles in them. She even takes her time when people like us that can't read the closing times comes in at the last minute and makes an order. The other girls just put a ton of syrup into some soda water, no ice really and called it good. It's a shame because those drinks are amazing when done right. Probably a lot of customers that would order again if they knew what the drink was supposed to take like.

I had a lovely cup of sweet chai at this charming little spot. However, I can’t recommend the gluten-free naked cake. It was dry and crumbly, and didn't taste fresh at all. When I brought this up to the barista, her response was, "Oh, I don't know, maybe it's because it's gluten-free." That’s not true! I've had some fantastic gluten-free cakes before. This is undoubtedly the best coffee shop in Woodland. Other coffee shops may have their potential, but they often leave you waiting for nearly 45 minutes for a sandwich. That’s not the case with this charming little cottage I love to visit for my coffee and snacks. It’s affordable, friendly, and much more personal compared to the hectic atmosphere at other places in town. It’s the perfect quick stop before heading to the grocery store—I'm in and out every time, making Coffee Cottage my favorite spot.
A quaint and local small business, really enjoy that they are open all day long. I have lots of different food options, fabulous coffee options, some smoothies and tea. Very friendly staff and a very quaint environment with seating in three different areas. Whether you're a local or just visiting, highly recommend supporting this local business. The quiche and the croissants were very delicious.Also Love that you can get different freshly roasted coffee beans to take home.
The two teenagers working the counter should know how to make coffee. Edit:10/15/2020 I appreciate the quick response. We?re local and have been in frequently. The dirty chai?s were not hot, they were maybe a little over warm. They were not close tohalf sweeti, and they tasted like they had only one espresso shot even though I ordered two. I don?t want free coffee, or tohave them watched over. I already bought the same thing from another establishment in town.
My granddaughter and I stumbled upon The Coffee Cottage a few years ago during one of our annual camping trips. We've enjoyed the coffee so much that we keep returning. This year, we found out they've started roasting their own beans, and we tried a medium roast this morning. Great first time experience! Stopped in to get some Real Estate work done and was able to have a comfy spot. Ordered a Dirty Chai and I had the Pesto Turkey Sandwich on Ciabatta Bread. Both were excellent and the Baristas were super friendly. Willdefinitely be back when I am showing homes in Woodland Park.
