Driving through Cummnock one Saturday, we needed a snack. We saw this place, which had loads of parking across the road. Everything about it was great. It was light and spacious with lots of room between the tables. Service was great. Toilet clean. The food was marvellous, basic Scottish food, and a reasonable price. Lots of all day breakfast options. Maybe mince rolls are often offered in Ayrshire, but I've not seen then in years. My husband had a mince roll and scrambled egg roll, both so good he'd like to go back. I had mince on a baked potato, also good, though next time I'll have the roll. Definitely recommend this place.
Our family recently visited the town of Cumnock on a family holiday and enjoyed a great cup coffee and hot chocolate at the Coffee Pot to warm us up on a cold spring morning. We enjoyed some a great cup of coffee will our children were enjoyed a super sized hot chocolate with all of the trimmings of marshmallows and cream! We also enjoyed some of the cakes on offer including the Carrot Cake which we all agreed was beautiful and moist and certainly worth a try. The service was super friendly with all of the staff making us feel very welcome. A great little coffee shop if you are Cumnock.
On a cold day, with a hankering for something hot to eat, we made a pit stop at the Coffee Pot while passing through Cumnock. It's more of a classic café than a typical coffeehouse, with a menu featuring Scottish classics like macaroni cheese, mince and chips, haggis, soups, and a variety of hot filled rolls (including one with minced meat). They also offer more exotic options like chicken tempura. We opted for a couple of ranch burgers that were cooked perfectly, beautifully presented, and delicious. The service was warm and friendly, making this café a fantastic choice overall.
This coffee shop exudes a nostalgic charm that is becoming increasingly hard to come by. We had the pleasure of visiting three times during our stay and were delighted by the scrumptious cakes. The unexpected offering of chips in a roll was also a delightful touch. If you ever find yourself in Cumnock, don't miss the opportunity to visit this hidden gem of a coffee shop. Great food- freshly prepared when ordered. Very tasty. Price really good too. Brilliant banter and very friendly staff. Sadly, let down badly by cleanliness and condition of bathroom. Mould on pipes under cistern, stain in toilet and cracked tiles on bathroom floor. Chairs in seating area, need varnished or painted. Such a shame- because could be a outstanding wee place
The restaurant offers outstanding customer service and a diverse selection of delicious food and drinks at reasonable prices. The ambiance is perfect for a dining experience.
Well worth a visit, family friendly place and food great, definitely be back... only closes 2 daya a year so plenty of days to choose from.
