We recently visited The Coffee Shop in Maghera for lunch. Although we have been here many times before, I have never taken the time to review it. The experience is consistently excellent, and this time was no exception. We visited on a rainy Wednesday and were delighted to find a special pensioners lunch menu that offered great value for money. The atmosphere was very relaxed, with the owners, a man and a woman, mingling with every table. It was evident that some customers were regulars as they engaged in friendly banter with the owners. This hidden gem comes highly recommended, and we always make sure to eat here whenever we are in Maghera. Great job, guys - keep up the fantastic work!
Today, I went to this restaurant with my friend. We had to wait 15 minutes to place our order, then another 25 minutes for my friend's tea and scone to arrive, followed by an additional 10 minutes for my 5-piece fry breakfast. The portion size was smaller than expected, and it wasn't worth the 35-minute wait. The food tasted good, but my poached egg was overcooked. The server who brought my food didn't speak to me or make eye contact, which I found rude. The service was slow, and some staff members were unfriendly. Overall, the lack of attentiveness to customers and a laid-back atmosphere make me unlikely to return.
On a drive around the Speerins we wanted a spot of lunch and tried the Coffee Shop. The man serving us was really friendly and a great joker! As well as the food on the menu there were a number of specials available. The food was plentiful and very tasty. I had one of the specials chicken breast with peppered sauce served with mashed potatoes, carrots, parsnips and cabbage. My friends opted for the Ulster Fry with added tomatoes. They also enjoyed their food. We had tea and the pot was topped up with no problems. All in all a great place to visit serving decent home cooked food!
My partner was working in the area so I decided to get a cup of tea while I waited. I decided to have the vegetable soup on arrival as well. It was the best choice I made all day! The vegetable soup was amazing!! And the service was brilliant. Such a lovely little coffee shop it really made my day. Thank you, would really recommend!!

Later, we found out that the chef, who was the other owner, came out to chat with regular customers. Both staff members were very attentive and made us feel like we were dining in our own home. I highly recommend stopping by The Coffee Shop next time you're in Maghera. It's definitely worth a visit.
The food is so delicious that I have become a regular customer. I have never had a bad meal from here. The staff are friendly and provide great service. The prices are reasonable and the cafe is very clean. I definitely recommend this coffee shop!
The Coffee Shop is a great place for lunch,it's very clean,the food is tasty and the staff are very pleasant and they will make you what ever you want to eat if possible.Saying that they have a great variety off dishes/sandwiches on their menu.
I'm visiting the area for a few weeks and called in here for a coffee early one morning. The service was friendly and welcoming, the ambience is comfortable and cosy. I ordered a cappuccino, it was tasty and good value.

We popped in for a bite of lunch on a rainy Sunday afternoon, and ended up having a full 3 courses for £14 each. The food is tasty and plentiful with a good home cooked feel. Would definitely recommend.
The staff are friendly and helpful and even though we only stopped in for coffee and cake it was very tasty and served quickly. The menu looked to be a nice selection of wraps and fill meals.
