This place is one of a kind. The staff, led by Chef Michael, are so over the top friendly and down to earth. The moment you walk in you immediately realize this isn't your average restaurant. I went with the recommendation of half a cuban and french onion soup and it was delicious. It's the only thing I get when I go but can't wait to try something else. Attention to detail is highly regarded here and as a Sanford staple try it out next time your ready for lunch.
I chased a Cuban sandwich. this restaurant/café found in the city of sanford with great reviews. the Cuban sandwich is a must! the owner was so amazing! he took the time to explain the menu to everyone who went with the same energy and enthusiasm. with the meal they were even included a free little dessert that I found super beautiful. will be back to visit!
What a delightful gem! The food exceeded my expectations, and the owner was incredibly friendly. At first glance, the menu appears to be quite standard, but wow! There’s a fantastic twist on the classics. It had the best French twist I've ever tasted! Excellent service and delicious food; I can't wait to return. I highly recommend this place!
The Corner Café is a fantastic place to dine. The customer service is outstanding. We had a nice chat with the owner, who shared a brief history of his cafés with us. I ordered the double soup along with a semi-pressed Turkish speck sandwich, and it was the best dinner combo I’ve ever had. I will definitely be returning on my next visit! Best place in town for soup, sandwiches salad! My personal favorite is the Vietnamese salad (best dressing EVER) with their AMAZING, AWESOME French onion soup in a bread bowl. YUM! You got to stop in, have a bite have a conversation with Chef Mike. He's the best! Remembers your name each time you walk through his doors. Great atmosphere!
The Corner Cafe is OPEN!!! Fridays Only between 5:00 pm 8:00 pm. My husband and I Love Chef Michael and his homemade, very delicious soups, salads and sandwiches! Everything is always served hot and fresh in a wonderfully cozy atmosphere. The Corner Cafe is our favorite place to visit in Historic Downtown Sanford.
Had the Cuban sandwich and French onion soup, nothing short of amazing! One of the best Cuban sandwiches I've ever had. Bread is perfect and the pork is incredible. Chef Michael is not only on top of his culinary game, he is a great personality, and storyteller. Highly recommend, you will not be disappointed.
Always a great experience at The Corner Cafe from the minute we walk in until the minute we leave! The French onion soup and the Cuban sandwich were fantastic. We had an incredible dining experience with exceptionally friendly staff. We felt welcomed the moment we walked in. I tried the French onion soup, which was absolutely delicious, while my partner had the Cuban sandwich and said it was fantastic! We can't wait to come back.
