Traditional Cuban- I regret to say that it was dull and uninspiring. The ham used was not top quality. The mojo sauce was decent. The bread was a bit thick and not well-pressed, but overall fine. There was a lack of substance, with barely any meat and maybe two pickles. It wasn't even cut in the traditional triangular shape. Overall, the sandwich needed more flavor, lacked essential mustard, and was disappointing in terms of taste. The Land Cuban had more flavor due to the addition of ranch, BBQ sauce, and bacon bits. It was interesting but not mind-blowing. The garlic butter was missing, just like on the traditional Cuban. I felt that this restaurant, which focuses exclusively on sandwiches...
I've heard a lot about it and I thought I'd shoot it one day. so much I was looking forward to trying out the sandwiches I couldn't get to eat. I was wasted my own money, and I gave myself the debt, but I was a little worried about the lack of masks. then there was a mask again, but she hanged on a hook or maybe a nail in the restaurant. that wasn't too high and I didn't notice it until it was too late. the restaurant itself seemed nice enough, but that was it. the young lady behind the cash register was friendly enough and went out of her to pack the items neat and in a way that the sandwiches could stay warm. I stopped at Country Cuban after mountain biking at Alafia State Park and had an amazing Cuban sandwich. Both of the women working around 1:30pm were very friendly. I noticed they closed at 2pm and when one of the women asked if we wanted our food to-go or dine-in, I said we'll get it to-go since I knew they were closing soon. She insisted that we had plenty of time to eat there, which I thought was really nice of her, especially since most restaurants would have rushed us out the door. If you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping by for a delicious Cuban sandwich!
As a truck driver I get the chance to eat at all kinds of places around this country. My favorite being the moms and pops places.The country Cuban is nothing shy of backroad down home hospitality and food that matches.I got the country Cuban sandwich and boy was it a great choice!! 10 out of 10 I would absolutely stop here again? the service was very friendly, the place was clean and it was a whole nice environment. I would go back and recommend friends or family. I had the country Cuban, the one another taking on an original Cuban. it had Ranch/Barbecue sauce and pulled pork. it was delicious; and I usually noticed that everyone ordered the same.
This charming rural restaurant, located in a remote area, is a popular spot for lunch. They close at 2 p.m on weekdays. The Cuban sandwich was delicious, and we ended up sharing one.
It's always a pleasure stopping in to eat at The Country Cuban. I got the Big Cheese sandwich and with the blend of cheese and the garlic butter it is awesome.
