The Country Kitchen On Wheels/ Food Truck

They food today was eatable, but I wont say good. The cornbread muffins were heavy and packy. The yams were tart. The mac and cheese was loaded with way too much black pepper. The smothered pork chops had a twang. The steamed broccoli was tart and could only eat the florets because the stems were not chewable. The fried okra was great. Cabbage was pretty good and mashed potatoes of course were instant and there was not doubt, but I'm okay with instant, though I prefer real. Maybe they just had an off day. Ill try another time.

Named for his lovely wife, whose recipes fuel the menu, Roy Dixon of Dixon Skins fame, rallied his family to create a nice home kitchen with great food. Visited for a private meeting of local business people, Mr. and Mrs. Dixon along with their children made us very welcome and fed us well!

What a neat little cozy Cafe off the beaten path, located in Amory, Ms across the street from Walmart. The ladies there are such good cooks and we were delighted to be there. They treated us like we were family. The food service was great and so were the prices!!

We took our nieces out to lunch there last year and the food was good. But the cost was OUTRAGEOUS!!! It was WAY too expensive. I keep the receipt in my wallet just to remind myself!

The food the best example of southern cuisine ever it is delicious and they are not stingy with it, they offer prompt and courteous service, above reproach. Love it!!
