I spoke with the manager about the crab legs, and although she apologized for the lengthy wait, she only offered a 10% discount on the crabs. To my dismay, we also noticed that our bill included a 25% gratuity, which they claimed was for parties of six or more; however, three members of our group were children. They said this policy was posted in the lobby, but I could not find any notice. A few days later, I called to discuss the issue with management. The woman I spoke to informed me that the gratuity should have been 18%, not 25%, and she falsely claimed that the manager had taken 10% off our entire bill. The staff and owner were spot on and very attentive. My wife had the fish and chips with roasted potatoes because she didn't want the seasoned fries, but the roasted potatoes had too much seasoning and oil. I had oysters and shrimp Alfredo. The oysters were dry meaning that the salinity from the ocean/bay/sea was non existent and I had to add salt and water. The atmosphere was fantastic, complete with live music featuring an impressive guitarist. Our drinks were served promptly, and the service was excellent. The bacon-wrapped scallops were outstanding, and the accompanying sauce was delightful. The 16 oz ribeye steak was incredible and cooked to perfection, bursting with flavor. We also tried the jalapeño cheese curds, which had a nice kick and tasted great. The side salad was generous and fresh, although the ranch dressing was a bit runny; nonetheless, it was absolutely delicious. I will definitely return!
It was a night with a live band, and we ended up being the last diners in the restaurant. Although it took a while for our food to arrive, the wait was quite enjoyable. I don't dine out often, so I would have loved to have some time for coffee and dessert afterward. Went on Columbus day and the waitress said they were understaffed. Very long wait for food and service. Food was ok, but they wouldn't accept a local high school fundraiser card discount.
