The Crossing Micropub

This micropub caters mainly to real ale enthusiasts, but it also appeals to train lovers, thanks to its location next to a level crossing over the West Coast Mainline. As someone who enjoys both beer and trains, I found it perfect! They offered a selection of well-kept ales served with a friendly smile, which the locals clearly appreciated. Lovely pub right by a railway crossing, hence the name! A bit quirky inside, which was great, toilets down stairs (one of each). The landlord and lady were lovely and welcoming and the real ales were fab. No food unfortunately, but the Fiddler's crisps were divine. Popped in there for one, came out four drinks later! Would highly recommend!

What a little gem!! Great chat with the staff. Fab location not far from where we were camping. Don’t go with under 18’s but for us it was perfect. You can always get a takeout pint or two and watch the sun go down across the bay on the beach 2 min walk away I’m not a beer drinker but a shot of Jura was fab. Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Incredibly friendly little pub staff obviously love what they do, it shines through as soon as you enter the bar area. My hubby loved the beers.. My prosecco even had fresh raspberries in! Wonderful. Lovely wee Pub..... Nice place, but as a designated driver, I found the one low alcohol beer available was utterly awful, which was a shame.....would suggest a better range of low alcohol beers in for folks that can't drink and drive. Cheers. Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Loved it, it was a wet Wednesday (off season) and it was quiet. I imagine during the season it might well resemble Hell. But, in December it was great, amd although small it has everything you need for an aquarium Price per person: £10–20 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

I stopped by The Crossing after a stroll along the coast. The atmosphere was fantastic, and they had an extensive selection of beers. I will definitely return the next time I'm in the area. Price per person: £10–20. Service: 5/5. Atmosphere: 5/5.
