once my natives, we chose the pub to meet with a friend we had not seen for a long time. we went in and behind the bar was the renter who was not particularly friendly. the renter welcomed us, a much better job and showed us on our table. the frying, lamb and pig were our choices, and both were perfectly cooked and tasty. the plate was full with a good part of meat and selection of vegetables. the Yorkshire-Pid was beautiful. was only for “Thai Night” in the krone in cuddington. eating was ok, but nothing special, for a bowl of rice with a few chickens above! it said: “Knödel served with every meal”, but no dumplings! in thame there is an excellent Thai restaurant (the rising sun) where you would get authentic for people thai starter and net for less than this small bowl. we try to support our local pubs, but will not be able to return to the crown again. I am a Fullers shareholder and have an action card that is entitled to prohibit a meal and eat, but was not allowed to use it here, even if it is a fullers pub. I made a reservation for a Sunday lunch for two while we were visiting family in the area. Despite never having been to this pub before, we received a warm welcome and were served a perfectly poured pint. The Sunday lunch that I had reserved was absolutely delicious, with a generous portion of roast beef, all the trimmings, and flavorful gravy. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience and I would definitely return if in the area again. The cost per person was £10-20.

This pub is absolutely charming. My family and I went for a meal with my elderly parents and Tracy and Glyn took fantastic care of us. The food was delicious and the building itself is stunning. We are grateful for their hospitality. The staff even put out a ramp for my mother to make accessing the pub easier. The average price per person ranges from £20 to £30. Arrived in the car pork at having seen a sign outside saying ‘coffee being served now’ after parking up and getting out of my car with my wife the owner opens the front door and angrily asks me why people are parking in his...car park!! After I pointed to the sign and said because it says ‘coffee being served now’ ? To which he said yeah not now maybe in minutes! Definitely won’t be returning!

I used to drink here when I was 15...so about 40 years ago. Lol. My equally underage friend and I would walk all the way from Haddenham in the dark...down 3 pints outside in the carpark so as not to get the landlord in trouble...then stumble all the way home again. This charming pub offers delicious food and is extremely child and dog friendly. The staff are amazing and the prices range from £10 to £20 per person. The food, service, and atmosphere all receive top marks with recommended dishes including the Roast Beef.
