We stopped at this restaurant for brunch during a boating trip with friends. It was a charming and cozy pub with a friendly atmosphere. Despite its size, the pub has been divided into smaller sections, creating a private and intimate ambiance. The food and service were exceptional, and we were impressed by our waitress who memorized all five of our orders, including drinks, without writing anything down. Everything was delivered to our table correctly, making for a delightful experience. My partner and I had a wonderful lunch on a Saturday afternoon. I chose the King prawn , tomato and chilli linguine. I loved every mouthful. The prawns were perfect and so was the linguine. The chilli kick was fantastic , just enough not too much to over power the dish. I had a pink gin and tonic. It was very nice. I also thought that Ella the person who served us was wonderful , friendly and professional too. I had a fantastic lunch and would recommend this place to everyone.
We had a fantastic experience at the Cunning Man. Our waitress Mollie provided excellent service and the food was delicious. Despite not having a reservation, they were able to accommodate us and our dog for dinner. Mollie was attentive and friendly throughout our meal. The dishes were all amazing and the desserts were especially good. We had high expectations and they were definitely met. We will be returning again in the future.
I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. Our server, Amelia, was excellent and made sure all our needs were taken care of. She served our drinks promptly and took our orders efficiently. The food was delicious, especially the triple fried chips that paired perfectly with the burger. The brownies were my favorite, so gooey and tasty. I highly recommend this place, it is definitely worth a visit!

Had a great afternoon meal, I recommend the beef and red wine pie, it was delicious. The waitress was very attentive and always asked if we wanted another drink just at the right time. Amelia was our server and was quick to clear the plates before we had pudding, I had a creme brûlée which was splendid. Might try a Sunday lunch next time. It’s really nice sat outside by the canal when it’s sunny
We had a lovely family meal here on a recent visit to England and my hometown of Reading. Decor, Ambience, and service were outstanding... Amber our waitress was kind, courteous, and professional and made it a wonderful experience for all. . Food was delicious
Food was very good, can wholeheartedly recommend the pork belly, the ice cream desert and cocktails were dreamy! Staff, not so nice. slow service, no customer care, very poor, especially when you mention there is Bday involved.
Such a great place to spend a sunny day on! There is a huge courtyard, and a really big area inside. As for the inside area, it has a cozy atmosphere with great music! A lovely place at all! And dogs are welcome, too!

Lovely pub with good grubs. Relaxing ambiance, friendly staffs, good servicing time for food and very very clean toilet. What more can you asked.
