The bar was as busy as my stomach was full after spending the day quaffing vast amounts of Icelandic barleywine and exploring the city. Arriving at Dagda I felt too hot, bloated and unable to maneuver my ready-to-burst self. The atmosphere immediately cured any ills as I found it to be most pure and free of any lagerboys. These are my people! I thought as I sipped my pint of Black Isle Blonde. Although lacking a wide selection of beers, what was on offer was most gluggable. The staff seemed overall happy and there was an air of mirth in the small room. I sweated out my previous pints during the hour I spent in the joyous space and upon exiting felt like I had enjoyed a true Scotch experience...
The bar owner saw a group of us and we were a multiracial group. He told us that we shouldn’t take up seats because we aren’t “locals”. We all live in Edinburgh so I had to guess he was commenting on the accents and color of our skin. Do not go here unless you are ok with this kind of racism.
I visited Dagda hoping to enjoy a whisky, but unfortunately, the bartender overlooked me and assisted another white man who had lined up after me. He then proceeded to serve yet another white man in line.
A strange experience. Nice bar but a really rude bar man. He clearly had some concerns about Covid and I appreciate his concerns but if the bar is open he shouldn't spend the time being rude to customers. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
I was strolling through town when I decided to pop in for a whiskey. I accidentally caught the tail end of their weekly trivia night, and it looked like everyone was having a great time.
Not for the first time, two beers on draught out of twelve. Consistently fails to open the hours it says it will. Stock and staff the pub adequately and things might improve.
It's a bit cramped, but in a way that makes you feel close to your best friends and want to hug them tightly. This *tiny* bar is packed full of delicious options...

It's great. Also usually packed. It's got good cask ale and draught. Also cask cider options when I visited.
