I've been here a few times. Very different from any other main power strip in Cardiff. The secret entrance and the exclusive Tsble service are all very cool. The staff is really friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. The atmosphere is dark, atmospheric, interesting and cool with low light in the bar, candles and small lamps against dark walls and floor with many odds on the walls and quirky art decisions. Loading comfortable small chairs all furnished in small intimate groups, perfect for a date or a group of friends. The bar is something to see the selection of spirits, ingredients and finish touchs on the drinks is huge and of very high quality, this is a serious cocktail-knife...
This is one of the best cocktail bars I have ever visited and I have made tons. The whole place is so fucking cozy, with such a beautiful atmosphere. People there work super hospitable, fun, warm and funny. Not to mention that they are also Geks (which is certainly good). Menu changes once a year or so, and there is always a theme. But despite everything, the cocktails themselves take the spotlight. Not only do they look absolutely fantastic, they also taste like pure Ambrosia. Perfectly balanced, full of taste. I can't recommend this bar enough. It's head and shoulders above the rest in Cardiff, and I can't wait to be back.
Adored it here. Super cool vibes and friendly, knowledgeable staff. One of the highlights of my hen do! Everything we tried was delicious and imaginative. Love the theme and the tucked away location. They let us have a private area since we were a large booking which made it feel really special. Have been waiting to visit for ages and can't wait to go back. Wish I'd taken more photos of the drinks as they were beautifully presented but alas, I was having too much fun.
What a little jewel in Cardiff. Not long ago visited and the atmosphere here is simply super chill. The drinks are really good and their accompanying descriptions and works of art are really well done. It has an almost forbidden-eske mood over the place, but I don't want to say much more. All I'll say is to go here if you like cocktails, a simple atmosphere and a bit of a magical mood. You won't regret it.
First time visiting and I'm looking forward to another excuse to book. Staff here were really friendly and they know how to make a great tasting cocktail. Unlike some places that rely solely on spectacle, Dead Canary offers cocktails that are value for money on both taste and novelty. Great location in Cardiff, not too crowded and clean toilets. Perfect.
Find the hidden door! A dark speak-easy ambience. An impressive selection of cocktails in the beautifully illustrated menu. I do not drink, but found the mocktails to be very pleasant indeed. Worth a visit even if you are in Cardiff for a night.
Visiting Cardiff this week, dead canary was brilliant. The server did give us his name, but I’m too pickled to remember.. Great cocktails, great staff would 100% come again.. look forwarding to coming again in the future
The best bar we've been to in months. Highlight is the staff that know their menu in and out and make any request work. High quality, high effort and great ambient environment. The entrance made it even better.
