Was pleasantly surprised to find the bistro at The Dingley has had a very tasteful facelift. Made booking to ensure a table. Was placed on table 22. There was a gentle draft coming from the kitchen and by the end of dinner I was feeling quite cool. Staff were friendly and attentive. Would like to see water placed on the table. When I asked for some was directed to bar for self-serve water. Seemed to be double standard as booth beside us had a caraf of water placed on table. The meals were quite large. We visited the recently renovated Dingley Hotel bistro for a family birthday lunch. There were 6 of us, and we were seated promptly and our drinks orders were taken. Our drinks arrived, and we were left to consider the menu. We waited 25 minutes for the server to return to take our food orders. This was no fault on behalf of the server - she was seating guests, taking orders, and serving meals. She appeared to be working on her own. She was very thorough, and read back our order to us to confirm that she had it correct. The food took a further 20 minutes to arrive. Nice meal selection , but a few issues . The steaks were quite cool - nicely cooked but by the time they got to us they were too cool.For a pub the meals were a little on the small side but generally quite good although really not cheap - more like restaurant pricing .I thought our waiter Gab was outstanding - really friendly , fast and right on to everything. I guess there can always be issues but coolish steak was a bit of a downer...
W have not been there since the upgrade. We being Barry, Gwen and Linda Scrimshaw. We used to be a regular customer but service dropped off due to staff did not care etc. BUT this last visit today was TOP OF THE TOWN. We were served by Lakehiesha what a joy we got everything we asked for and the service was back like it used to be but better. Sheena, Lakehiesha is a Gem we will be back. Thanks Dingley

We thought we should try the bistro again despite a disappointing meal some months back. I'm glad we did, because tonight we had the best time from go to whoa. The staff were welcoming, the meals were cooked beautifully with generous servings , and the atmosphere relaxed. Can't wait to come back for another porterhouse steak - cooked just how I like it.
Just had dinner with a friend at the revamped Dingley Hotel. The new look is much trendier and very fresh.Food was terrific, my steak was perfect, and my friend loved her dish too!Compliments to Lauren our waitress, very attentive and friendly. Recommended a great wine and shared a laugh over "The Squealing Pig". Will definitely come back! Thanks!
Went for lunch food was fine service very ordinary staff unfriendly one never smiled when serving us when we said the desserts were incorrect we were told we were wrong and then with a roll of eyes said she would change it asked for water twice finally came at the end of the meal shame really because one of the nicest steaks I've had
Went there for a birthday function, first thought was low expectations as it was at a pub. How wrong was I, the food was exceptional and plenty of it, the staff were lovely and attentive. The whole experience made for a wonderful Sunday afternoon. Could not fault this venue for a function.

One of the nicest local places to dine in. The staff are warm and friendly and the food is great! There is also an alfresco area if you don't mind the smokers. It certainly is one of my favourites! Well done!
The new atmosphere is execellent. The newly designed restaurant is great. Very child friendly. Food and service are excellent. Drinks are a bit pricey but happy to pay. Would strongly recommend this venue.
