We used to love the ambiance of dining room but on our recent visit it was much noisier than we recall however still a lovely place to be. The food was good especially the starters. My pork for main course was dry however I accept this may be due to the way it was cooked on the Josper. My husband's lamb was delicious. Our real concern was the wine list which is extensive but we chose 3 wines all of which they did not have therefore in the end we accepted a more recent vintage of our third choice. My suggestion is to perhaps have a smaller list but be able to supply all that is on it. As we were having difficulty finding a wine it took a long time for us to get served as the person serving us...
Additionally, the wine list is extensive, offering a range from good value budget wines (there's no such thing as a bad red in South Australia) to some quite expensive options. I opted for a mid-range Barossa Glaetzer Bishop Shiraz, which paired perfectly with my steak. I started with a couple of pints of Coopers Pale, then moved on to the red for a little extra boost. I finished off with a Scotch that kept me pleasantly lifted for the evening (I may have exaggerated that last part a bit). Thankfully, I wasn't driving!
we have eaten dissatisfied in the dying and always had a good experience. our last visit was far from, very average quality of food and menus. eating was cold when it was served, a filet steak was full of fat, and the port loin dish was well cooked! not great and a bit disappointing based on previous visit. they took the food from the bill, which was a nice gesture.
The food and service were excellent, but it was quite noisy on Saturday night. The acoustics make it difficult to hear your dining companions, and we found ourselves almost having to shout to communicate. It’s definitely better to visit during the week when it’s more peaceful. we had a nice lunch for my mother birthday. the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. the wine list was surprisingly extensive. that eating on the afternoon was magical and eating was delicious. we all had different meals and they were all delicious. be back in any case.
Extensive menu, really nice meal good steak, tasty accompaniments. Good wine list. Good service from very pleasant and helpful staff. Perfect for pre theatre dinner. Pretty location, lovely décor.
The restaurant was quite noisy, but the service and food were excellent. They also offer a good selection of beverages. However, the noise level made it a bit difficult to have conversations.
Couldn't find our reservation, told to go to one area and then got taken back to where we started. Not the best or the worst, but won't be returning anytime soon. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Nice menu. Good food. Decent serving size. Perhaps service was a little rushed for my liking.
