Love this place. It's a little off the track but worth finding as the trip takes you through a lovely part of Cheshire. Wife and I shared Fish n chips and loved it as the chef separated it in the kitchen instead of presenting us with plate for us to divide. Cant remember what our daughter had but she loved it. She paid as a gift for us paying for her wedding at the nearby Colshaw Hall, years ago. Dogs are welcome and everyone gets a great welcome whether a billionaire or a pauper like us. Those days have gone but still have great memories.
Great lunch at the Dog today. Really nice food and good value in this nicely appointed free house. Taylors Boltmaker and Weetwood bitters were very nice too. The visit was made perfect for us by the young ladies who served the food especially Dawn who made us very much at home with her knowledge of the area. Many thanks from the four old men!
my sister and I visited her last week at her birthday and I treated her for Sunday dinner. we both had the beef, and I have to say that it was the best Sunday roast we've ever had. every mouthful was delicious! the pub is warm, welcoming and dog friendly. we will definitely come back!
Fantastic overnight stay at this busy pub! Lovely clean room with generous bathroom. Very tasty Sunday roast with the biggest yorkie puds I've seen! Breakfast was lovely too, all staff were helpful and polite! Thank you for a great time.

had a great birthday dinner here yesterday. great selection of beer, delicious menu, attentive staff. we haven't waited long before our food arrived, and it was hot when it arrived. beautiful location, will definitely visit again.
Lovely anniversary lunch there yesterday. Staff friendly, food delicious, great background music (Jake Bugg) and a nice walk in the nearby countryside afterwards to work off some of the calories!
eating was amazing, and the staff very attentive, without being intrusive. in any case recommend. they pamper and have the ribs and wings!
Love this place. Food great and staff are fab. Had a long wait for food last night which was slightly annoying. But will always return.
