We went to the pub after making a reservation for 9 people to celebrate our friend's birthday, and we brought our dog along since we were away from home. The pub was dog-friendly, which was fantastic! However, when we arrived, we were seated at our table but were informed that dogs were not allowed in the restaurant area of the pub. We were given the option to sit at the bar, away from our group of 7 friends. Feeling awkward, we found our own table separated by a wall from our friends and were given menus. We recently visited a restaurant that is now called "The Ounce", possibly because it specializes in serving steak by the ounce. The menu is predominantly focused on steak, which I do not eat. However, there were a few other options such as vegetarian, baked salmon, and pork belly. I opted for the fish dish, which was very good. One of my companions enjoyed the pork belly, describing it as delicious, while the other two had the steak and thought it was great. Despite arriving on a Tuesday at 5pm without a reservation, we were fortunate enough to secure a table right away, although we were only able to stay until 7pm. I'm camping down the road around 15 minutes away from this little gem of a pub. First visited on Sunday and have to say the welcome from staff and the family run business was superb. The Sunday lunch that me and my misses had was possibly the best I have ever tasted. Its my birthday today and I have five of my family coming over to sample the absolutely amazing place. At the moment we should all be rewarding local start up with our custom and I can't think of anywhere better for me to spend my hard earned money
Gina and her husband laid on a fabulous afternoon tea for my daughter’s baby shower/30th birthday party. There were 24 adults plus a few children and everybody left with a smile! The good and service were impeccable- especially the cakes! It was such good value and a wonderful way to celebrate a special occasion.

We just had a fantastic meal at this restaurant. The menu was great, the food was delicious, and the service was helpful and friendly. The atmosphere was really nice and we had a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
Neat little dining room and pleasant staff. I had roast belly pork and my husband had the beef. Very good with tasty cauliflower cheese and other vegetables. Very well priced also. Well done crew.
The most delicious Sunday lunches. Great portions, delicious food, beef cooked a perfect medium rare and pork delicious. Very welcoming and thoroughly enjoyable.
Visited with friends and had a great meal. Every course spot on. Staff always friendly and a good local trade makes for a great atmosphere.

Had a lovely evening sampling the local beers and extensive gin menu. Had to come back the next day for Sunday lunch and a slice of cake.
