Authentic Chinese cuisine can be found in the northwest suburbs. We ordered popcorn chicken, a spicy fry hot pot, lamb bao (available only on weekends), and egg drop soup. Each dish was flavorful, authentic, and served in generous portions. However, I found some dishes to be a bit on the salty side for my taste. The restaurant's interior is very appealing, but unfortunately, our waiter was not proficient in English and couldn't assist my husband, who doesn't speak Chinese, with the menu. Overall, I would rate this restaurant four stars and would consider visiting again next time. Don't forget to check out the small Chinese grocery store in the same strip mall to support local businesses.
I discovered this restaurant on Saturday and couldn’t resist going back on Sunday. It’s a lovely place with easy access from I-290/53, ample parking, and enough seating to accommodate weddings and other social events. The food we tried was delicious, with an incredible variety. The service was friendly and prompt, and they offered many specialty dishes that you can't find anywhere else in the Chicago area. Our family and guests thoroughly enjoyed their meals. This is the best Chinese restaurant in the northwest suburbs of Chicago!
After being warmly greeted by the manager or owner, my best friend and I chose to sit in a booth. I ordered a selection of dishes, including some cold appetizers, deep-fried pork, lamb chops, and fried rice. Each dish was prepared with fresh ingredients and truly captured the authentic flavors of Chinese cooking. The portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable. I will definitely be returning in the future!
This is the best Chinese restaurant in the area. The new owner Wen brought in more menu items, i.e. Big Plate Chicken, Roasted Bao, and Onion Lamb are must-orders. The Roast Bao are gone fast! I have nothing but positive things to say about this restaurant! The flavors are truly authentic, and the prices are very reasonable. The interior is clean and beautifully decorated. I would definitely return if I find myself in town again!
Overall the food is good ! Try “Sweet&Sour Pork Cutlets” if you could. The chef leverage tomato as the base source, which is a creation! It is crispy outside and the meat is still tender inside. Szechuan String beans also deserve a try.
It is a wonderful Asian cuisine at North Chicago. I didn't expect they can doing good food like what I'm expected. Nice food with reasonable price. Definitely I will come back again
