Visited this lovely little cafe yesterday for breakfast with my partner son. We had X2 breakfast's (tea/coffee toast included), with a round of toast a can of pop, £28. Food was beautiful I really don't think this price is bad especially if you're served nice food. We enjoyed it so much, that we're going back again today. They do allow dog's in, which I'm not a fan of, but must admit the ones that were in yesterday were very well behaved under the table. This wouldn't put me off going as there's plenty of seating to enable you to sit away from them.
Went for breakfast as was near caravan park. Lovely cafe with a good choice of food and different craft items on sale too. Didn't wait long to be served, the woman serving wasn't the friendliest, no eye contact, was clearly there to do a job and nothing more. Breakfast arrived quickly and was tasty. All other staff were friendly, polite and smiley, it's a shame the person serving wasn't taking a leaf out of their book!
The Drift is a charming café with ample seating indoors and outdoors, where dogs are welcome if kept on a leash and under the table. My husband and I enjoyed hot drinks and a slice of cake each - I loved the large piece of Victoria sponge, and my husband savored his Mars Bar rice crispy slice. We will definitely be back!
Dog friendly cafe plenty of seating had a pork stottie never heard of one never eaten one found it really delicious.Really friendly staff waiting on and behind counter. There are too many dogs at this restaurant. The food is good and the service is great, but the number and size of dogs is becoming a problem. Yesterday, a dog the size of a small pony stuck its face onto my wife's part of the table, which we found unhygienic and unacceptable. We will not be coming back.
We traveled from Amble for breakfast, but due to a flooded road, we had to walk along the beach to reach the restaurant. The owner kindly offered us a lift in his 4x4, but our dog wanted to continue on to the beach. The breakfast was great and definitely worth the drive. Would recommend to others.
This is the second time in 2 days we have visited we love the food and everyone is really friendly. Soup and a scone today really good soup just like mum made. Pork in a Stottie enjoyed that. We also took a bit of corned beef pie home for tea that was good too. We will definitely be back.
We always visit here when we holiday at the caravan park nearby and never feel let down. We had drinks and cakes, and can't really recommend anyone as they were all excellent. On a very positive note they now allow dogs in the cafe itself which is great when the weather is cold outside. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Very dog friendly with an excellent range of food and drinks, extremely welcoming staff and a magnificent beach just across the road. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will certainly be back.
