The Duke William Ickham

We were disappointed that the Manager Hugh was not based in Ickham on the day we went there for lunch. Apparently, he has been transferred to try to improve standards at other pubs in the group that are not doing so well. One of the main reasons we go to the Duke William is for Hugh's warm welcome if he is not there, we may go elsewhere, as Hugh provides an exceptional dining experience. He always goes the extra mile! This is not our first time visiting this restaurant, and it certainly won't be our last. The food is excellent, as is the beer and the staff. The Sunday Roast is outstanding, and I also tried the cheeseburger on a previous visit and it was top quality. I highly recommend giving this pub a try - you won't be disappointed.

Food was OK nothing fab. Had the chicken and lamb kofta, it was a bit meat heavy, a nice mixed salad or coleslaw would have helped and the sauce that was over the top of it wasn't very nice. Service was good.

The restaurant offers a wide selection of dishes, from traditional pub classics to other main courses. The wine list is impressive. The service was excellent, and all the staff were very friendly.

The food was fantastic, the service was top-notch, the location was stunning, and the ambiance was lovely. We absolutely adored it!
