I have read the reviews for this place before booking, not all well, but decided to try for myself as I hate reviews. I leave one because this place deserves it! my expectations were low, but they were exceeded. a nice family pub with a relaxed atmosphere. the best of all eating was nice. good expensive, good portions, which presented us well and hot came! one of the only pubs served in the opposite, which feeds throughout the day. also with disabled access. many thanks to essex skipper
amazing eating for the price of a take away sandwich!!! so glad that we tried this place for lunch after the decision against a local pretentious garden center caffe. owner was very welcoming and the lunch we ordered was exceptionally well cooked and well presented for the incredible price of £ 3.50 per !! toilets were clean and had some nice touches in the toilet article for everyone who will be caught short .will return
a great night, with good people. the band was brilliant and played a large number of songs that were quite eclectic, but great occurred. the environment was pleasant and fun. the staff was friendly and on order, there was hardly a waiting queue for drinks all night.
Food was lovely. Service was quick, simple and friendly. All that you would expect from your local, even managed to get in to take advantage of the 2 for £20 deal. Shame to see some customers expectations are ridiculous, but team handled the situation well.
