Overall good despite a lot going on between the regular diners, a private party in a small room and a wedding. We arrived a few minutes before our reserved time and were seated in the farthest corner of the room, which was fine. We were the first reservation at 5:30. Our one complaint is the flashing lights on the artificial orchids on various ledges in the room. I had to have my husband slide his chair over to block the one that was directly across the room from my seat. There was one to my right which I made sure to not turn my head to that side and concentrated on keeping my vision to our direct table or along my left side. We had a great experience at The Farmers Daughter. We visited on a Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 (they stop serving lunch at 2pm) and the restaurant was not crowded. Due to the hot summer weather, the outdoor patio was closed, but it looked beautiful and we plan to return in the fall to dine outside. Our waiter Andrew was friendly and efficient. We shared the delicious bruschetta appetizer. My mother ordered the chicken salad sandwich and thoroughly enjoyed it, taking the leftovers home for dinner. I opted for the mussels, which were a generous portion for lunch and very tasty. My brother was pleased with his crabcake sandwich. Overall, we had a lovely lunch at The Farmers Daughter!
This is my go-to place for lunch, at least once a month. The food is excellent. They have some unique offerings and change several things up on the menu accordion the season. The food is well prepared with a pleasing presentation. Lunch is very reasonable considering the quality and the size of the portions. The servers are always friendly. Kelly is often my server when I go and you could never have anyone more cheerful and attentive.
Honestly, this is on me, I really should’ve done more research, but I was pretty dissatisfied with my dinner here. I thought that the price of the food was not corresponding to the quality of the food that we had. The food was good, but I don’t think it was entirely worth the price. This restaurant is a favorite of mine for celebrating special occasions. I recently went there with four friends to celebrate my 70th birthday. We started off at the bar for happy hour, enjoying margaritas and delicious soft pretzels with truffle oil. Afterwards, we moved to the main dining room for a fantastic dinner and dessert. It was a truly memorable birthday celebration.
Despite having an advance reservation, and other tables (for 2 people) very obviously reserved, the hostess sat my friend and I at a table right next to other patrons. No privacy and the hostess was unwilling to accommodate because “those tables are reserved.” The restaurant was also very noisy. We will not be patronizing this establishment ever again!!!
Very relaxing and friendly atmosphere. Food was delicious-the chilled burrata and lemon ricotta dish. Would definitely come back and bring friends.
