During a holiday in Saint-Jean d’Aulps, my family organised a surprise meal to celebrate my birthday. The venue they selected for our party of 9 was The Farmhouse, and it is hard to imagine a better choice.The elevated position, away from the centre of Morzine, affords impressive views across the town and valleys. First impressions are enhanced by the beautiful old building and the attractive outdoor areas. And then we walked inside. Wow! The reception area, the bar, the lounge, and the dining room are magnificent - rustic, great decor, comfortable, and cozy.The personalized welcomes by the hosts, and then by the owner, were warm and friendly - and unexpected!We were invited to enjoy drinks...

They were the dearest drinks we had in Morzine all...week. We sat near one end of a very large table, with 32 diners in total. Food is served by 2 pleasant waitresses, our food arrived first. But as is traditional everyone waits until the last person is served, probably 4-5 minutes later, by which time our food was luke warm at best. You need MORE waitresses. The food itself is nothing special, and very small portions. Do not come here expecting a feast. So my view, over priced and over rated.

We celebrated a friend's wedding at St Jean D'Aulp with reception at The Farmhouse. This is a remarkable building (and roof) about 10 minutes from the centre of Morzine. The service of cooling drinks and canapes after the wedding and before sitting down was well done. The outdoor setting for the meal / speeches was very attractive if hot on the night. Food was good but the cheese "wedding cake" was outstanding. Entertainment was very good. The interior of The Farmhouse looked very interesting, but insufficient time to explore. Service by the young waitresses was outstanding: never missed a beat. Recommended for the next wedding!

I booked this ahead of our stay in Morzine based on a number of reviews. There were 15 in our party. I use the word "experience" as the whole evening was an exceptional experience. The pre dinner drinks in a friendly cosy atmosphere, food that would not be out of place in a Michelin star restaurant and all set in the oldest building in Morzine. The second dining room was set exclusively for us which included lots of candles. The setting was amazing. 4 courses including a great cheese selection accompanied by really nice wines. Very good value for money and more than just a meal!! A must place to visit.
We visited with friends who have a chalet in the area and all enjoyed a wonderful evening. The hosts and their team are all most welcoming as were the 'resident ' diners. Excellent choices at the bar, the evening started with canapes whilst chatting to fellow...guests, a bonus for the men being the rugby on TV. Lovely food (dietary requirements are not an issue and asked about when booking) and whilst I am not a 'big drinker ' the wine was flowing, 'all in all ' excellent value. Coffee or tea is served in the bar by the lovely fire to finish off a great evening. Thank you

Il y a toujours une animation de qualité aux alentours du 14... Zucchero....Dick Rivers...autres groupes de rock celebres....rdv des Harley ...tous les 2 ans je crois...ces concerts sont gratuits et on peut y aller tres facilement depuis l hôtel. Nous y retournerons...Merci au patron que je ne connais qu en temps que cliente occasionnelle de me souhaiter à nouveau la bienvenue....l élégance anglaise et le savoir vivre du propriétaire en plus !!!!
