Come here all the time with my boyfriend who isn’t super into cafes or coffee and he loves it here. I’m a barista myself I just like coming here because I think the coffee/espresso tastes better and is stronger than where I work, which is Starbucks. There’s one barista, not sure of their name but she was working this afternoon 9/15 and she always helps me out. I try not to ask too many questions when it’s busy but she always gives tasty and good recommendations. She let me sample some of the syrup and recommended the southern bowl(don’t think that’s the name but its tea, lemonade, and peach syrup it’s SUPER GOOD). I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant for breakfast, and I must say it was an excellent experience. With prices averaging between $1 and $10 per person, it offers great value. The food was outstanding, earning a perfect score of 5. Each dish was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The service was equally impressive, also a solid 5. The staff was attentive and friendly, making the dining experience all the more enjoyable. The atmosphere received a 5 as well. The setting was inviting and comfortable, making it a great place to start the day. I highly recommend trying any of their flavorful dishes. Overall, a fantastic breakfast spot!
This restaurant review is quite similar to the last one. It appears that this location doesn't serve a traditional Vietnamese coffee. While it had some of the flavors you might expect, it was more like a regular coffee with a splash of milk, and noticeably lacking in condensed milk. I've never encountered such a bitter Vietnamese coffee before. Being new to the area, I've been sampling different coffee shops, but I should have checked Yelp beforehand. The Fig only has 6-7 reviews about their Vietnamese coffee in the past six years, which should have been a clear sign that it's not their specialty. I'll have to return and try a different drink instead.
Without a doubt, this is one of the top coffee and bakery spots in the area. The coffee is exceptional, along with the tea and the monthly drink specials they have. The baked goods are absolutely delightful! However, what truly stands out is the friendly and kind baristas. I've never had a negative experience here. I highly recommend it—10/10! The coffee is as very good and the location is good down town although there were a few sketchy people around. The staff were nice enough but seemed bothered or distracted, although it was not too busy. Had the maple sugar coffee and it was great. The white mocha was delicious, and the cozy atmosphere paired perfectly with the fantastic live music from the Mischief Duet! Service was excellent, and I enjoyed my meal. The price per person was quite reasonable, ranging from $1 to $10. Overall, I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all at 5 out of 5!
They have relocated across the street from their previous spot, but the staff remains incredibly friendly. The food, service, and coffee are outstanding. I ordered an iced Americano and a bacon and egg quiche. It’s a great place to relax, whether you’re by yourself or with friends.
