I called in with my partner and our baby boy for Sunday lunch just before Christmas. The setting was lovely with excellent decor right from the front door. The food was truly delicious while still being reasonably priced for a quality establishment. The staff were friendly and inviting throughout our visit, especially our waitress Lynda who took the time to talk to all of us including our little one. I can’t praise The Fitzwilliam Arms enough for the first rate dining experience that they gave; but I can say that it was so good that we had made another booking before we left!
Great food in a traditional British pub setting with very helpful staff. Plenty of vegetarian and even vegan options on the menu, as well as very-low alcohol drinks for those who do not wish to imbibe. We had the vegetarian Sunday roast, and a plant-based Moving Mountains burger. Both were very well prepared and tasty! There 's a good select of beer on tap, as well as ciders, and a full bar (with a nice selection of gins). We saw lots of outside seating, and hope to be back when the weather is warmer, although we 'll miss the great fireplaces they had going on this visit.
We had a great time at The Fitzwilliam Arms for Sunday lunch. As we walked in, the front of house staff greeted us with a smile an asked how we were which was very nice. We were then looked after by Lynda and what a lovely lady she is, so attentive and friendly, she made our Sunday lunch special as we felt so well looked after, always checking to see if we needed anything and nothing was too much for her. This was our first time visiting and we definitely going to book again! Recommend 100% . Thank you

The effort that you all put, into creating a special atmosphere, decorating the place soo beautifully, the care, details, love and attention you put into our evening. Simply can not thank you enough. Lovely pub with friendly and attentive staff. Our server Lynda was lovely and nothing was too much trouble for her, even though she was rushed off her feet most of the time! Food was very nice and good portion size. I'd happily recommend this place for lunch or an evening meal. My fish chips was lovely the fish was huge!
The place was very busy so extremely pleased that we had booked a table. Despite the number of diners there were only a few unavailable items. The food was superb and even though they were very busy we didn’t think there was an unreasonable wait for our food and drinks. It was a very hot day but the restaurant was cool.
Fitzwilliam arms is such a lovely and quaint pub/restaurant with kind and welcoming staff. The decor is warm and homely and the food is absolutely wonderful. Been here many times and can not fault it.
