Unfortunately since writing my last review, Flour Monkey have closed their Capalaba Store. They do have two other stores, one at Belmont/Carina and one at Carindale along Creek Rd at or near the Metropol Shopping Centre. I did ring the owner and ask if they had moved to another location in the Redlands but unfortunately not for now, but she did not rule out possibly opening a shop back in the Redlands in the future. CAN ONLY SAY - best and great hot tasties pies, hot coffee and very friendly and efficient staff when we purchased from Capalaba when it was open :(
Tastiest meat pies I have eaten for a long time - beautiful flaky pastry and good quality meat and gravy - sell all different flavour pies - curry, bacon, steak n kidney etc - personally I favour the standard plain steak. Sausages rolls are excellent too - pastry superb. Bread is great also.
They have a good variety of sandwiches and rolls: being vegetarian, my favourite is egg and lettuce. All the bread is baked on the premises, and is real bread, not cotton wool. Very pleasant staff. They are always busy, and deserve to be!

Call in on your way home from shopping I'm sure you will love The great foods on offer. This is one of the nicest bakeries in the area and the ciabatta is delish
How fantastic to find a local bakery making delicious, well presented, gluten free cakes at a reasonable price ($17 for a chocolate mud cake) .
