beautiful location with outdoor seating overlooking harbour but the girls behind the bar were super hostile/unfriendly towards me glaring and looking me up and down?? after we’d ordered and paid we were told we’d ordered wrong as it was sunday and they'd given us the regular menus so we had to reorder. I asked for a refund of the original food which none of them knew how to do. eventually the manager managed to and we reordered, but service wasn’t great and i didn’t feel welcome there. food was good though x
Went to The Ship to celebrate my husbands 50th. Unfortunately we were very disappointed. Went to order Cajun Chicken to be told they hadn't got any chicken. Went to order a pint of Guinness to be told they couldn't change the barrel. When the food finally arrived my husbands steak was cold, the garlic butter was basically runny margarine with some garlic added. My fish was all batter, the mushy peas were also cold. I'm glad I used my Christmas voucher to pay and not wasted my own money.
The Ship offers a wonderfully warm harbour side welcome with the staff being incredibly helpful, equalling its stunning setting. April and her team are a real credit to the venue, constantly striving to make it stand out as a pub you want to go to. Yesterday, Lana, Lauren and Jack showed that they really care about their patrons’ experience. I hope April and her team continue their great work as they have a dynamic that really works very well indeed.
Went to the Ship for some dinner and drinks with my partner. The vibe was relaxed, and the staff were friendly and quick with service we were given table service by Nathan. The food was lovely and well presented. Would come back again.

We went for my daughters birthday and reserved tables outside The lovely staff decorated by our tables with balloons and banners etc It was so kind of them The food as always was amazing and the staff were so lovely thanks so much x

The food was great and was served very speedily. Our waiter, John, was very friendly and made us feel welcome. Will definitely come back!
