While playing darts with my son the landlady came in shouting stop, grabbed my darts and threw them on the floor and slammed the dartboard doors shut. Landlord said it's because she has covid and can't fly to New York tomorrow. Surely that's not the fault of the customers. I found the experience to be embarrassing.
I stayed overnight in the area and had a wonderful meal and a pint for £20. The price can't be beat at just £10-20 per person. The food and service both scored a perfect 5, while the atmosphere was rated a 4. I highly recommend trying the Beef Burger. There is plenty of parking available with free parking options.
Good ales, nice atmosphere, really friendly staff and a specials board that I struggled to choose from; I wanted to eat everything on the menu. If I lived close by that would be my local.. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
