My family recently dined at the Fox and were extremely pleased with the service we received. The staff were very attentive throughout our meal. My husband ordered the fish and chips with mushy peas, while I opted for the steak and ale pie, which was absolutely delicious! The pie was filled with tender meat and flavorful gravy, all encased in flaky pastry. Our children enjoyed the kids pasta with chunky chips and ice cream for dessert, which was a great value as it was all included in the price. The restaurant is in a great location for a family lunch, and we look forward to returning when the weather is nice to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and nearby children's park. This restaurant is a charming place to dine with a cozy open fire! Our family of three, including my wife, our 4-year-old son, and myself, had a pleasant dinner experience. The staff was welcoming and attentive. The food was outstanding, especially the hearty pie dishes that we couldn't resist. Even our usually picky son enjoyed his fish goujons. The desserts were generous in portion size and delicious in taste. The price of the meal was fair. We left the restaurant feeling satisfied and we will definitely be returning soon.
We chose The Fox at Peasemore because of its central location for a family get together with 16 adults and 2 small children, all travelling from different directions. We couldn’t have made a better choice! We were given a warm welcome, with very friendly and efficient service. The food was very good; staff took great care to explain the menu and there was plenty of choice for a member of our party who has special dietary requirements. Thank you to all the staff who looked after us and made our visit such a success.
Friendly staff however poor over all experience. Food quality poor, especially the burger literally just a patty and one slice of tomato between two cheap white baps. Dry and tasteless. Highly recommend you add lettuce, cheese, mushroom and gherkin. Pies were tasteless and stodgy. Unfortunately still normal pub prices too despite poor quality. We visited this restaurant for Mother's Day and enjoyed a wonderful meal. I particularly enjoyed the chicken pie, as the pastry was light and filled with flavorful ingredients. Each course was delicious and reasonably priced. The staff were very kind, friendly, and attentive.
Enjoyed a warm welcome and delicious food. The choice of pies is excellent. Definitely a highlight. Full on a Thursday evening pays testament to the staff and the service they offer. Well worth a visit.
The best roast beef I've had out. Cooked perfectly rare thank you! Outstanding service, comfortable chairs and setting. Well worth a visit but you will need to book!
