We’d only ever been here before for coffee and cakes – which are truly phenomenal. Seriously, if you like cake, a visit here will be a real treat. This time, we found ourselves here in the middle of a walk around lunchtime, so we treated ourselves to something savoury. My Halloumi Tomato sandwich was superb – perfectly done, really tasty, and in a generous portion. I’m told the Egg Bap was equally outstanding. The teas were excellent too – as were the cakes we took away for later. The service was warm, welcoming and very helpful. Highly recommended.
This morning, I went to this restaurant with some friends. I had heard great things about it, but unfortunately, my experience was not the same. When we ordered breakfast, there were some issues with one of the meals that took three attempts to get correct. This resulted in me waiting an extra 10 minutes for my meal as it had to be sent back to the kitchen twice because it was missing items listed on the menu. After waiting almost an hour for our food to arrive at the table, this was extremely frustrating.
First time visit for me and my friends. Reasonably priced for an ok sandwich and a very good coffee. It’s a bit noisy sitting at the tables in the entrance, between the staff (one member in particular) and the coffee machine. The table and chairs are stained and a bit grubby, with tea cup stains all over the table and dropped food on the chair as well as stains. The photos I have seen on here with salad and sandwich looked much better than what we received.
A trip to this restaurant is always unforgettable. On this occasion, I tried the Grilled Halloumi Sweet Chilli Sandwich and it was amazing – full of flavor and a generous portion. The staff is consistently friendly and attentive, making the dining experience a delight. I also bought some Rocky Road Cake and Lemon Drizzle cake to go, and they were both delicious – expertly crafted and bursting with taste.

Visited for my father in law’s birthday, this was his chosen destination. I paid £10 for a prawn salad for it to arrive in a take away box with wooden cutlery. It was nice but not filling enough and disappointed with the presentation. We paid £30 for a salad, a panini, 3 coffees and 2 soft drinks. It’s a nice spot but I won’t return for food. Maybe a coffee if I’m walking the dog.
We held our baby shower at Fox and Peony and they hosted a wonderful afternoon tea for our group. They accommodated various dietary restrictions and were incredibly helpful in planning the event (shoutout to Emma!). The food and drinks were enjoyed by all, and we highly recommend the cafe.
Visited for a friendly lunch after enjoying a morning locally. Half empty , no reservations on tables yet were rudely informed that they’re were no tables free and there was at least a half hour wait. Seriously poor attitude. Did exactly the same to the next couple that came in. Avoid
we were recommended this perfect little cafe by several friends and visited one sunny Sunday; lovely lovely staff, great coffee and cherry sponge cake. A real gem of a place, we will definitely be returning every weekend now after our dog walks.

Excellent customer service! There was quite a few of us so we pre ordered and i was able to do this over whatsapp- so easy to do and great communication! Friendly staff, lovely atmosphere and decor. Definitely will come again!
