Recommend if you want an “experience”.The coqui sounds will resound in your ear the whole time. So relaxing!If you like waiting over two hours from the time you walk in and wait for a table to the time you get your appetizers, this is the right place to go.If you’re pregnant, and enjoy the agony of waiting for your waiters to tell you, “I assumed you wanted your appetizers when your main course was ready”, you should check it out!If you want your steak to taste like dry burgers from Burger King, the steak will be perfect for you.There were more things that went “right” but we’ll just leave the surprises for when you visit.Hopefully some of you will understand the sarcasm of this review.
I was hoping for better portions of food on some items. The food was okay. I wanted to try that place for a while. I was a little disappointed . I was really hoping that place was going to be great. It's not bad by a long shot. I tried close to half of the menu . Personally, I wanted that place to hit it out of the ball park, but unfortunately, it came up a little short. Hope he really brings it up if he changes portions and doesn't go crazy over doing with putting too much sauce . Example in the 3 meat sandwich. It was really good but the part of the sandwich the didn't have that sauce was really good. Wishbone guy all the best. Place was clean.Parking: Took an uber there glad I did
Absolutely the best Pasteles I have EVER had. There is a generous amount of pork. The pork is so tender and juicy and the flavor is just out of this world. The flavor is beyond what words can describe. I served my family your pasteles on thanksgiving and all they loved it and said it was the best they had ever tried. This is the true definition of true authentic Puerto Rican food. God bless your restaurant I wish for lot of success and hopefully bigger and more locations. When you walk in the staff is so wonderful and welcoming. The tea is clean and you get a true Puerto Rican vibe.
It was Freakin Rican great , fabulous .The waiter that took care of us was great and the lady that works at the register was great too . The food the pasteles , arroz con gandules and chuletas were perfect . We were celebrating my sisters birthday and they sang Happy Birthday to her . My sis came from Westchester and she said it was worth the ride . Please make sure go to the restaurant eat and get ready to eat real Puerto Rican style food ..You will not be disappointed.?

The best pernil I've had in a restaurant! Tender, flavorful, juicy. Paired with trifongo which was absolutely sublime. We had alcapurria as a stater and it was the real thing. My husband has bistek encebollado and arroz con gandules which we would rate at a 3.5 4. A bit too dry, both, and the bistek should have been trimmed. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was great, it felt like home. There was a bit of a wait, but it was worth it.
When it comes to takeout, it's often rushed and lacks proper preparation. However, this restaurant defies that norm. They manage to prepare fresh and delicious takeout orders in just 15-20 minutes. Despite the limited space with around 10 tables squeezed together, all occupied, it's a controlled chaos. Everyone seemed happy and content, savoring the delicious food. If only we lived closer, we would definitely be regulars.
Well, after we have to wait more than 1/2 hour, I order pork chops. They look delicious, but when I start to eat them, where hard and dryThe waitress took another 1/2 hour to bring the check. I was too disappointment that's why I gave 3 stars ? only because my friend ordered trifongo, and that was delicious ? ?
Went to back to old neighborhood reminisce for the weekend and went to this cute new restaurant.Food is absolutely delicious brings me back to my roots … especially the pasteles!??Atmosphere was cute and very ethnic with a wonderful diversity in the establishment.Truly enjoyed myself.

We came from Poughkeepsie to Queens to try out this Puerto Rican cuisine. I must say as far as the platting it was done very well. The food did remind me of abuelita and her cooking. Thank you freaking Rican for a great experience and ambiance. The wait was worth it.
