In every good review there is an aspect (or aspects) of the visit that makes it so; for this visit, it was the Maitre D. Admittedly, I erred in thinking that the reservation was for outside seating. He kindly and quickly was able to save our family's Sunday evening dining experience. Also, try the "Gage G" one of the best cocktails I've had in awhile
Gage is a great location for a lunch on Michigan Avenue whether it is a break from shopping or for a business lunch. The service is impeccable with a nice, delicious menu. It is quiet and intimate enough for conversations and enjoying the people you are with. The bar area is also a great place for solo diners
We ate at The Gage years ago on a visit to Chicago. We dined there again last night and found it to be the wonderful restaurant that we recalled. From the time we entered until we left, the personnel were friendly, caring and thoughtful. Food was excellent
the wedge salad was fantastic! Waitstaff were pleasant and attentive enough. My waitress made great recommendations and I enjoyed my meal
