Liebes Galley of Lorne Team, was ist mit euch passiert? Wir waren im letzten Jahr hier und wirklich begeistert. Von der Speisekarte, vom Service, vom Essen. Ganz zu schweigen von der tollen Aussicht und dem wirklich schönen Speisesaal. Dieses Jahr hatten wir natürlich entsprechende Erwartungen und die wurden sehr enttäuscht. Die Specials auf der Tafel gab es nicht, die Speisekarte hat das übliche Pub-Food. Die junge Frau im Service war sehr freundlich mit einem strahlenden Lächeln aber hoffnungslos überfordert. Ab und zu waren ein paar junge Männer zu sehen, die aber auch nicht wirklich hilfreich waren. Gegen später kam ein etwas älterer Mann zum Service dazu, aber auch er verbesserte nicht...
my man and I were here as part of our trip to Scotland for our high-time november. we booked two nights and wanted us to stay longer. our trip to the hotel was very delayed by car-bahn accidents and the weather, so we arrived very late in the hotel. we arranged and explained the situation and the personal was amazing. they arranged for suppe and sandwiches to put us aside when we finally arrived. during our stay the staff were very friendly and helpful. had much to know about the local place to go and see. our only disappointment is that we were no longer with them. this is a place where I return definitiw.
A fabulous overnight stay in the newly refurbished hotel. Staff were so friendly and the food was delicious. Lemon sole was the special of the day cooked beautifully and hubby had the Cullen skink. Beautiful setting complimented by the Scottish sunshine. Very tough providing top service with so few staff but a little kindness, patience and appreciation for all we’ve been through went a long way. Thanks to Nicola for making our stay so memorable. We’d love to return one day.
We spent the night and had dinner at this restaurant. The bar area was lovely, and the dining room had stunning views. Although it was too cold to enjoy the outside area, it would provide the best views. The food was of good quality, and the breakfast the next morning was fantastic. The service and staff were friendly and professional. I would recommend this restaurant and would love to visit again if in the area.

My husband and I visited this restaurant last weekend in October for drinks. The staff were friendly, but it was difficult to get a drink at times because the young girls seemed more focused on socializing with each other than working. As we left, we noticed that the entire smoking area in front of the restaurant reeked of weed. It's disappointing because this cozy restaurant has so much potential.
first room .no heating . and close to the skin cisterne .cold shower. it has been reported that has not yet been visited by towel offered to water on toilet floor that we made clear all night. at last in another room, that was a hassle in contemplated only there for night. manager didn't say his fault several times. now it was not mine either offered no compensation. will not be back!
Hugely overpriced which probably explains why it wasn’t busy,food was also poor,which is a shame as the location is stunning!
Excellent hotel, clean and comfortable. Staff excellent and couldn’t do enough for us. Food first class- try the cranachan!
