A few visits here and can’t say much positive. Yes the cakes look cute and make great Instagram posts but the staff make the prices up as they go along. They’ll happily post on Instagram a cake being £2.25 and then charge you £2.50 after you’ve queued 30 mins. You pull them up for it and made to feel like you’re in the wrong. You even get offered 4 free cakes on your next visit and they try to charge you for those!! They post items of past cakes and treats to get you down in the queue and you get to the front to find out that they are not even available it’s just so you spend your money. The restaurant offers delicious bread, soup, sandwiches, cakes, and coffee. This was my first visit, but I will definitely be back. It is a true bakery, so be prepared to wait in line when it's busy - but that just shows that something good is happening! If there's space, you can sit outside. The staff is very friendly and helpful, as it is a family-owned and operated business. We tried the flatbread sandwiches, coffee, and cake, all of which were very good. The owner came out to check on us and even shared some local history about the "garage" that was previously owned by her grandfather. It was a great experience all around.
Garage Bakehouse almond croissants are the best. Light as a feather and filled with gooey almond paste topped with slivered almonds and dusted with icing sugar. And nice and big! It is SO worth getting into Market Harborough at 7.30 on a Saturday morning in order to get in that queue early enough before they sell out. Died and gone to heaven quality. Love the cheese and marmite swirls, and very good sourdough. Really need to try more, but I give in to the almond croissants every time.
LOVE the bread products, didn't love the granola bar (very crumbly and not sweet Coffee is nice, but strong tasting (depending on who makes it, it is sometimes better than others! Tried the decaf once but wouldn't have that again. Some of the other cakes look really good and the bread really is excellent so i will always be back for that and to try some other cakes. Have visited twice now in. Saturday morning for a takeaway drink and snack after a run with friends. Drinks fine and hot chocolate is delicious and seems to be made with milk. Granola bars good, too. There is a queue but that seems to add to the chance of to be out and about and midst friends.
Stopped for a coffee and cake when cycling. Was fantastic! Great choice, and bread looked fantastic. Would have loved to try more, it all looked so good. There was a big queue, which for a local shop is always a great sign. Highly recommended
I absolutely love the amazing pastries and hot drinks at this restaurant. Whenever I'm in Market Harborough, I always make sure to stop by for breakfast. It's fantastic!

Pleasant bakery with lots of homemade bread... sadly I arrived when lots already sold out but obviously a popular shop! Some nice cakes too!
