We used to go to the Garden Room before lockdown on our Wednesday afternoon walks. We’ve missed our visits and their superb cakes. We visited today for the first time since lockdown. It was better than ever. Wonderful service, delicious cakes, perfect tea, it didn’t...disappoint. The café is always buzzing and there’s usually a queue to get in. That is testament to the quality of the food and service, both of which are unfailingly superb. The seating areas have been extended and the whole area has been revamped and redecorated. It’s all beautifully conducive to a good sit down and a chat over a delicious breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea. Great stuff, We’re so glad you’re open again!
I have eaten breakfast and lunch here on several occasions and never been disappointed. The food is fresh and hot and has a wide choice of fixed menu choices, both snack-type food and full meals plus daily specials, today's was beef strogonoff. it is family...and dog friendly. The staff and welcoming and the service good. There will almost always be a queue as it is such a popular place to eat in the village. after eating, you can stroll through the gardening and home areas I defy anyone to come out without buying a little something!
This café/restaurant has always been a wonderful dining spot in a convenient location nearby. They recently expanded one of their areas during the lockdown, making it even better. The homemade cakes and food are delicious, and the staff is friendly and helpful.
Came here for breakfast as it is always my first choice for a breakfast, I always have the garden special it is the only place to do that breakfast and is so good! Staff are always so lovely and it will continue to be a...top Choice to go too.
