We recently visited this restaurant for breakfast and were impressed by both the delicious food and the stunning view of the fields. The staff was efficient and friendly, and they were able to accommodate our request to make the vegetarian breakfast vegan. The veggie/vegan sausages were particularly tasty, as was the large hash brown. The mushrooms, beans, and toast were all flavorful, high-quality, and served hot. The waitress diligently checked the ingredients of our cooked breakfast to ensure nothing was cooked in butter, and even provided vegan spread for the toast without us having to ask. We used to go to the Garden Room before lockdown on our Wednesday afternoon walks. We’ve missed our visits and their superb cakes. We visited today for the first time since lockdown. It was better than ever. Wonderful service, delicious cakes, perfect tea, it didn’t...disappoint. The café is always buzzing and there’s usually a queue to get in. That is testament to the quality of the food and service, both of which are unfailingly superb. The seating areas have been extended and the whole area has been revamped and redecorated. It’s all beautifully conducive to a good sit down and a chat over a delicious breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea. Great stuff, We’re so glad you’re open again!
I have eaten breakfast and lunch here on several occasions and never been disappointed. The food is fresh and hot and has a wide choice of fixed menu choices, both snack-type food and full meals plus daily specials, today's was beef strogonoff. it is family...and dog friendly. The staff and welcoming and the service good. There will almost always be a queue as it is such a popular place to eat in the village. after eating, you can stroll through the gardening and home areas I defy anyone to come out without buying a little something!
visited on a busy Sunday dinner. there were of us including children, all vegetarian except a large table was found for us immediately and a high chair for the small child. the table service was excellent, efficient and very patient, as there were many asking! a bit waiting for the food, but that was quite understandable as they were very busy. the food was excellent, well wait and very good value for money.

The Riverside Nursery/Garden View restaurant is one of our regular places for lunch, snacks and even plants ! It's always full, because in our experience, it's always very good. Nice food, well prepared, reasonable prices. Very helpful, friendly staff. Good menu choices, with specials ..that vary from day to day.
We are regular visitors and love the breakfasts but they keep opening earlier than stated so even though we turn up minutes early to sit inside, all the tables are taken!!! Please keep to your opening times and stop letting people in early. What...is the point in having an opening time of you don’t keep to it!!
This café/restaurant has always been a wonderful dining spot in a convenient location nearby. They recently expanded one of their areas during the lockdown, making it even better. The homemade cakes and food are delicious, and the staff is friendly and helpful.
Came here for breakfast as it is always my first choice for a breakfast, I always have the garden special it is the only place to do that breakfast and is so good! Staff are always so lovely and it will continue to be a...top Choice to go too.

As good as always. Very good food, friendly/helpful staff what more can you say. Wide choice of cakes, sandwiches, hot lunches etc. (During lockdown they have upgraded/extended the restaurant area, giving a nice extra seating area)
