At the beginning, the establishment of this restaurant is spectacular. The colors are soothing and the lighting is the right mixture of lighting and not transmitted. The exterior is naturally beautiful, like the surroundings. The menu is well written without the unnecessary pomp and circumstance that places certain restaurants of this quality. I didn't feel like the menu would mislead me when I read it. The drinks were also very simple, which allowed me to recognize exactly what I wanted to imbibe and consume. The bartender Tyler and the manager Julia did spectacularly all night and directed my questions about the sources of their food and dealing with my special requests. They were a dream...
I went with two other people at my party who both enjoy good food as much as I, so we were able to taste several different appetizers and entree's. I had a red wine on the glass, chosen for me by Ryan our server, that went exceptionally well with everything I tried. I had a pork belly kicked mushroom appetizer that melted into the mouth. From the sushi side of the restaurant, I mentioned that there was also a sushi bar in general, we had the role with the crispy fried onions above and shrimps. The third time for dinner at the General. I tried the French onion soup. Nothing like before. It was very good. My husband had the special seafood bisque. He said it was from this world. He also tried the Calamari and thought it was one of the best he ever had. And if that wasn't enough, he had the scallops and I had the Lancaster chicken. The chicken was so tender and the vegetables were boiled right. My husband couldn't say enough good things about the scallops, they were delicious. Unfortunately we didn't have room for Dessert. I went here for dinner tonight with my family and it was amazing. The remodeled building looks great, nice and open but it still has its charm. I had the fried calamari for an appetizer and it was so good. The calamari pieces were huge! Everyone's dinners were delicious. My mom and I had the scallops and we both really liked them. Amazing menu...Holiday, creative and delicious! Chef Michael DeLeone is a master in his own right and the owners took the time to turn a historical property into a real restaurant. Ambiance is warm and intimate, the waiting staff is professional and I highly recommend it! (p.s. Beware of the bread... it is quite addictive!
Calamari amazing! We had Tempura Shrimp and California Rolls-best around! Then onto Sea Scallops with Risotto and good ole summertime Fried Chicken with Fennel Slaw-incredible flavors! Staff was over the top attentive!
This place is amazing great food! Great people.. sat at the bar our bartender Tyler took care of us! Definitely try this place out! We will be back! Btw they do take out as well!
