A fair time since we were last here. Reading through the reviews we thought we would give it a try. We were pleasantly impressed with whole dining experience. Warm welcome from Luke, service was a perfect pace. The food which was recommended by Luke (Pork belly Seafood grill) was a brilliant choice, tasty and perfectly prepared. Compliments to the chef. Dessert (bakewell tart and custard) was yummy. Customer service we received from Luke was excellent and will definitely return. ,
We booked a table to have a family lunch at the George on Christmas eve. Though not everything went according to plan the food was very well cooked and tasty. Our waitress was exceptional at looking after us. Izzy made us very welcome, sorted out issues quickly and without fuss. She pre-empted any complaint and arranged a discount on the bill before we even thought about it. Well done Izzy and thank you.
We came to visit as a party of 10 people. Everyone enjoyed their food and drinks. The service was excellent and we will be booking here again very soon. Many thanks for a lovely evening.
Sea bass was good but the sirloin steak was literally inedible, one big tendon. Managed to have maybe two bites and went home hungry. Shame cause the peppercorn sauce was really tasty. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

Friendly cosy atmosphere belies the stark, red brick exterior. A Chef and Brewer chain pub with the usual menu offering. Friendly servers.
