My family had a wonderful experience at the Greyhound for Sunday lunch and we knew we had to come back. On a chilly Thursday evening, we decided to stop by on a whim and were pleasantly surprised to be seated right away. We both opted for the slow cooked pork, which was the perfect choice for the weather. It was expertly cooked and beautifully presented, and we cleaned our plates. We recently enjoyed a Festive Christmas Lunch at this restaurant with a group of six. The dining room was cozy with a roaring log fire, and we were served three courses for two of us and two courses for the remaining four. Every dish was cooked perfectly, and one of the meals was gluten-free. We all expressed our sincere appreciation for the delightful culinary experience that kickstarted our Christmas celebrations. Although we have other festive meals planned, this one set a high standard. Visited this evening (Tuesday) for a meal with friends. The whole experience was great, the food was fantastic, as was the wine. We all had the slow cooked pork for the main course, which was lovely. The staff were excellent, particularly the bubbly blonde, who was a good laugh. Thoroughly recommended for a good meal out.
The greyhound is hands down the best pub in the area, fantastic home cooked food, lovely atmosphere and the warmest welcome. All the staff are incredibly friendly and professional, what more could you ask for. It's an old school country pub of which are few and far between and we can't wait for our next visit. Our first visit to The Greyhound but will certainly not be our last even though we live well over an hour away. Tara and her team are amazing, it was like a breath of fresh air to have such excellent service and a choice of menu so different to normal run of the mill pub food. Many thanks for a superb lunch !
From my initial call to make a booking and then upon arrival. Tara was very welcoming. This is a great village pub venue with plenty of parking opposite. Abby Jordan were also very helpful and friendly. The food was great and ultimately I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the Greyhound.
We had a fantastic birthday meal today. My husband surprised me by booking for a party of 7. The atmosphere was lovely, the food was delicious, and all the staff were friendly and welcoming. Everything was excellent and we will definitely be returning.
