Fabulous!!!! Went today for Sunday Dinner, Roast Beef or Turkey Large one £11, small £8.95 . The beef was so incredibly tender, with massive Yorkshire puddings, Roast potatoes, creamy mash carrots, broccoli and cauliflower cheese with lashings of homemade gravy. If that wasn't enough then there was homemade Whimberrry pie!! WOW, it was just like my mum used to make. A great selection of wines , my favourite was the New Zealand Sauvignon, and fantastic Manchester Craft lager. The food and drink offering here is too good to miss and Sunday lunch which is served until 6pm is far superior than anywhere else I have been. I didn't try the food, but I stopped by for a couple of drinks before the game. The service was excellent, despite it being busy. We sat outside since it was sunny, and there were many football fans around, all of whom were well-behaved.
This pub is one of the few remaining honest establishments, with delicious food and a great atmosphere. Live acts perform every Saturday, and they serve the best pint in town.
