One of the best brunch places in Los Angeles! Came here around 11 am and had no issue getting a table. Thankfully there was no line and we were quickly sat. The restaurant has a cozy diner feel to it. While the space inside isn't massive, there's a good number of seats inside and outside of the restaurant. We had no issue finding street parking even though it's around busy streets. The menu is massive with multiple options for different types of pancakes, breakfast skillets, sides and other options. First off, these pancakes are HUGE!! I ordered the raspberry lemon pancakes and was very surprised when three plate size pancakes were placed in front of me. I also liked that there was a lot of raspberry pieces sprinkled in the pancakes, so each bite was bursting with flavor. I think these pancakes were $18, but I think the price is definitely worth it. I ended up having leftover pancakes for days. There were plenty of options as well. I have never seen most of the combinations of pancakes before, but there were so many plates that I wanted to try. While staying in LA the other night we decided to eat here based on a local recommendation. The pancakes are beyond HUGE and the French Toast (original) was very tasty. Also the coffee was served in a French Press at the table and was fresh. We also ordered eggs and sausage as a side. The restaurant didn't have many when we walked in at 8:30 on a Thursday, but quickly filled up by 9. The atmosphere is cool, hip diner style and music was a bit loud but good, definitely woke us up in a good way! Service was friendly and it was great to find this place.
By far one of my favorite breakfast spots in Los Angeles! My go to are Grandmas French Toast and the Baja Loco Tacos! Since it's a hefty breakfast I usually enjoy it as a brunch because the portions are big and delicious! Definitely have the French Pressed coffee it's delicious as well. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE when ordering pancakes you can order 1 pancake instead of feeling obligated to order the big stack of 3 HUGE pancakes. I don't think many people are aware they have that option and people waste so much food
Food 3/5: the burrito was a bit on the dry side and the omelet's hash brown was also on the dry side. But the french toast was 5/5: it is so moist and melts in your mouth. Next time we will be back for some giant pancakes. Looked fluffy and fresh. Service was 5/5 and ambiance is good for quick dine-in or togo.
