Visited with a friend , who was visiting me, and as I had always enjoyed a meal at the Guardroom. Attended had our food, which was OK, I then ordered our drinks, we were not told that they were closing shortly. Sat down and after approximately several minutes , the young female approached us and said Can I have your cups seeing our cups were full!! She then stood there looking at us. We both got up and walked out. There was a large group, who were clearly friends, and their table was full of cups/glasses and plates, but she made no effort to take these. I will never go back again, if they are happy to serve and not mention they closing in the next ten minutes, but happy to take my money, the...
I called to make a reservation for breakfast and was informed that it was not busy, and to come in whenever we were ready. We arrived 30 minutes later to find the restaurant packed, likely due to the inclement weather and it being Easter Weekend. We waited in line until a table opened up. The food was tasty, but the service was slow, presumably because it was made to order. We will return when we can sit outside in this charming location.
I understand that the restaurant is busy, but waiting 15 minutes for the table to be cleared and then not cleaned is unacceptable. Additionally, paying 8.50 for a small portion of smashed avocado is not worth it. I will not be returning to this restaurant as there are many other places with a better atmosphere and more options on the menu.
Beautiful location, amazing food, friendly staff. Popped in for lunch, you are unable to book, but luckily it wasn't that busy so able to get a table. They allow dogs aswell. Definitely recommend for coffee, breakfast or lunch. A really lovely place to go. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
This delightful restaurant has a charming view of the river Plym and offers both indoor and outdoor seating options. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and the food is delicious and elegantly presented. I highly recommend trying the Guinness cake.
Stopped off yesterday lovely setting, we sat outside looking over the water, coffee was very good we had jacket potatoes decent portions but just a little hard in the middle. I would come again but I would have something different.
Had a lovely brunch here with my family. Was nice that they were dog friendly. The service was good. Food was lovely, we had English breakfasts, sandwiches and toasts. They did good coffee too. Would definitely go again.
