This is another restaurant that I knew about through Instagram. It’s called The Guksu and Noodle and serves Korean hot and cold noodles and rice dishes. We arrived at 7:30 p.m. on a Saturday and it was moderately full of customers. There were a lot more Cantonese guests here than I anticipated. I knew I wanted something hot and soupy as it was cold outside. We are always looking for a place to have dinner with friends and their kids. This noodle place is new but everytime I drive by, I couldn't tell the name of the restaurant because their sign has this Korean symbol and the word Noodle. Until I mentioned to my friend and she told me the name and I was able to look it up. They don't take reservation between Fri and Sun, but we were able to get a large table since we were there before 7pm. We ordered various type of noodles, both hot and cold. I would give the food 4-star but the service dragged it down a little. Service was not bad but just imagine understaffed. No smiles either but no kidding with just one guy in server uniform. He needs to work on an inviting personality and not just able to take orders. The spiciness level was intense despite a hot pepper beside certain menu items. Definitely worth a try. I think seats less than 50.
The Guksu and Noodle is a new restaurant in the area, but their menu looked well loved. The worn edges and torn pages seemed to indicate their popularity, with most of the customers around us speaking Korean, adding to its authentic feel. We were intrigued by the vibrant colors of the Fruit Bibim Guksu, and also decided to try the Gogi Guksu to experience their dishes at different temperatures.
Authentic Korean food, the spicy anchovy brooth soup was okay, the spice over powered the anchovy flavour. The plain anhovy brooth noodles was pretty good. No 5 which is the brooth noodle was awesome tasteting with a ton of beefs and tendon in it. Great place to hang out with friends. Services was excellent. And yes there are alochol options if you would like it with your meal.
Stopped in on a whim. Never had Korean soup before. I was quickly seated and served a small bowl of fresh kimchi and a pumpkin purée I order the hot spicy soup with chicken. Noodles were extremely fresh and broth was delicious. Place filled up quickly over the lunch hour. The two servers were polite and attentive. Delicious lunch!!
I discovered "The Guksu and Noodles," a new Korean noodle restaurant, thanks to an old friend on Facebook (shoutout to Gina!). This unique spot offers a variety of hot and cold noodle dishes, an uncommon find in the area. I convinced my foodie colleague to join me for a lunch outing, and we were excited to try out this new place.
The soup at this restaurant is amazing, with perfectly grilled meat. The tempura was delicious, both in presentation and taste. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was great. I will definitely be returning.
Love this place always keep coming back. I wish that I could eat here everyday, but the diet won't let me. One day I will conquer this diet and eat here everyday
