the hanging gate is located in a pretty location, right on the road from the center of belper. in the inner it has the look and feel of a typical country pub. some (but not all) of the es pane have an access to people with mobility difficulties. dogs are allowed in the sitting area in the free, and also a section in the interior area. we had to ask for the separate vegan menu that offers a lot of choices for appetizers and main dishes, including falafel, suppe, salat, curry, tart and burger dishes. it is part of the vintage Inns chain, so eating in each of their pubs is identical. we thought the taste and quality were quite decent, but nothing special. the focus is on the traditional meat-ba...

when we went out for a ride, my late parents had mentioned this place, we had a Sunday roast, the best ever roasted, which we had ever had, apart from mamas service was exceptional, personal very attentive. desserts well could not choose as all the noise tempo, thoroughly enjoyed the meal, environment, will visit again and would recommend def

cozy English pub with a separate vegan menu. really friendly waiting staff. I had the vegan burger, I really enjoyed it, but it comes with a small salat and it would be much better if it was served with chips. a great option if you are looking for pub grub.

A beautiful pub set in the scenic countryside. 3 of us had an evening meal and everything from start to finish was fantastic. The food was amazing and very reasonably priced and the staff couldn't do enough for us. Highly recommended! 5*
