The Hat boasts a diverse menu, but if it's your first visit, you absolutely have to try the Pastrami dip. Despite the name, the sandwich isn't really wet. It features a French roll topped with mustard, pickles, and, of course, thinly sliced pastrami, making for a delightfully messy experience. The chili cheese fries are served in a generous portion, wonderfully satisfying without being overly greasy, and adding onions takes them to the next level. There's enough to easily share among a few people. To balance out the salty flavors, a refreshing Orange Bang is the perfect choice. What a pleasant surprise! The pastrami was excellent, and the potato salad was fantastic. The service was good, and the prices were reasonable. I’m not giving it a full 5 stars for the food because, although the bread was fresh, it was quite soft, which caused the sandwich to get squished while holding it. It’s a charming mid-century spot, reminiscent of the 60s, with intact woodwork that makes it worth dining in to enjoy the atmosphere. I was also pleasantly surprised by the drive-thru!
The Hat is a classic spot that shouldn't be missed. Their pastrami is absolutely delicious, and the ambiance inside resembles a 1960s diner. The food is served quickly and piping hot. You have to try the pastrami chili cheese fries; they come piled high on a 2x2 drink tray with fresh fries, hot chili, and a generous mound of pastrami on top—it's enough to put anyone into a food coma! The Hat also offers a complete menu of hot and cold sandwiches as well as chili dogs.
I honestly wasn't sure what to order, so I went with the world-famous pastrami dip sandwich and a large order of fries. For $19, the sandwich was loaded with plenty of meat, and there was a generous portion of fries. The pastrami sandwich was excellent, especially with hot fries on the side. A friend strongly recommended this place because I'm a big fan of pastrami, and it did not disappoint! I ordered the Pastrami Dip, and it was amazing—so much delicious pastrami. My friends had the pastrami burgers, and we also shared a plate of chili fries. There was an abundance of food! If I lived nearby, I'd definitely be a regular. It's refreshing to discover a restaurant that offers simple, tasty dishes.
I absolutely adore the pastrami sandwich and chili fries! I can't even find the words to describe them because I'm too busy drooling over them. Even now, the food is amazing and the people are fantastic. I highly recommend it! I just wish they could pour even more of that deliciousness onto my sandwich, haha!
You can't go wrong with chili cheese fries, and you can even add pastrami on top! Personally, I found the pastrami a bit too salty, but my brother loved it. The restaurant has plenty of parking available, and while they do have a drive-thru, I think going inside is much faster.

I love...love....love....the pastrami sandwich and chili fries. I have no words to describe because I am too busy salivating for it...even now. Great food, great people....and I strongly recommend. I wonder if they can pour some cheese in my sandwichlolz.
