I really don’t know where to start with this. I have visited the cafe multiple times in the past and have been really impressed with the quality and service which is provided. However today was the total opposite. Firstly we ordered a number of toasties which we received 25 minutes after ordering. The toasties weren’t even cooked properly and so were basically sandwiches. When speaking to the staff they were extremely rude and unapologetic for the time taken to do the food but also refused to acknowledge that they weren’t even cooked. We also had to remind them that of our full order as we were missing 1 toastie which we had paid for already and were not given. Our coffees also tasted burnt...
Called in as a group of cyclists late morning hoping for a few hot simple snacks like bacon sandwiches, egg on toast etc to be told we were too late for breakfast and too early for lunch! Coffee was very poor by modern standards served in tin mugs, staff charmless and seating inadequate. Struggled to find anywhere out of the blazing sun. It's sited in the midst of a charmless industrial style buildings albeit on a rural campsite in the glorious Cotswolds. I appreciate it's primarily an indoor Climbing centre but still a lost opportunity to pick up tourist business. Overall, there are far, far better alternatives around. Avoid.
After packing up from 3 days camping at Far Peaks camp site, we decided to head to the cafe for coffee and breakfast before we departed. We were met by two young lads working behind the bar. I didn’t catch both names but I think Henry was in the kitchen. The other young lad took the orders and made the coffee, both were really friendly and helpful. The coffee was really good as was the breakfast roll, all three of us had double yolkers..... highly recommend. Well done boys!!
After reading reviews and looking at the website we thought this would be a lovely place to stop on our way back home. Menu seemed very limited as only showed toasties with a few pasties in a heated unit. I took the special which was quiche and salad salad consisted of green leaves, 2 slices of cucumber and red pepper. Seemed like the fridges for drinks etc were half empty. Went to the Climbing centre and found the cafe attached, they did these amazing giant scotch eggs (homemade) and very tasty tray bakes which myself and the kids cracked into. The coffee and hot chocolate was lush too. Definitely worth the money, they do event hire and kids parties too.
Run by the lovely Eloise, this is a fab place for a coffee and some delicious freshly baked treats (the brownies are amazing! Staff were super friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be heading back soon to try pizza night!!
Had to wait 20 mins just for a coffee, glass of milk and cookie, despite not being busy. The chocolate bars were mis-shaped from the sun melting them. Poor selection of cakes. Staff not friendly.
We popped in for breakfast whilst the kids were at a party at the climbing centre. Great food and there is a wide range of different loose teas too. We’ll definitely be back for food. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Excellent cafe with a well stocked shop and really good menu. Very good coffee too. Under new management and still excellent.
